A national FSC certified timber products company that has been supplying high quality timber products for the construction of industrial, commercial and domestic landscapes for over 60 years. The company supplies a vast range of timber products such as fencing, playground equipment, recyclable wood fuel products, landscape bridges, garden furniture, log cabins and just about anything which is made out of timber. All the companies products are sourced directly from their own well managed sustainable forestry sources. The company also distributes and sells it products nationally throughout the UK and into Europe.

What We Did
Whilst working with the client we carried out extensive market research, thoroughly evaluating the competition together with identifying niche areas where the company could maximise sales growth. We also obtained extensive marketing lists of potential new clients in various operating sectors together with information regarding product specifications, sector standards, protocols on supply and delivery. Our research project revealed the most profitable routes to market and sell the clients goods to in order to turn over large volume sales. We also produced a comprehensive marketing strategy and a key account sales management system for the group. In order to position the client successfully against their competitors we also designed a new brand and matched this with unique marketing literature. On a final note we also acted as an Agent for the company, which resulted in a joint branding venture and the clients goods being sold throughout the UK to Homebase, B&Q, Tesco, Sainsburys, Makro & Costco.
The company has grown substantially (in of excess of £2m+) selling its timber products throughout the UK principally due to the joint venture we initiated and our internal research which found further sales opportunities by the cross selling of products ranges. The client is also now a dominant market player within the alternative fuel and playground equipment supply sectors.
