We initially conducted a comprehensive research programme which consisted of questionnaires, telephone and desktop research with existing and potential new customers. We obtained key competitor information such as strengths, weaknesses, pricing and brand positioning which assisted in determining the company’s future business development strategy. Our research included identifying key customers and alternative routes to sell within the market, together with supply the names of buyers and key decision makers. After reviewing our findings the company immediately drew up a new marketing and business development strategy. A new brand and website was also developed in line with the new business strategy. A press and media review was also undertaken and suitable press articles were written and distributed to quality media publications. The client then went on to successfully present and bid for 3 large engineering projects (value circa £300,000).
